Leigeber.com has been live for only two and a half weeks but there has been a tremendous response with almost 45,000 visits. I would like to get feedback from you on the site so far, where you would like to see it go and what articles/scripts you would like to see posted. The current layout was put together quickly to get the site up and I have begun work on a much better and permanent design. I have been documenting the new design process and Wordpress integration and will be posting a few articles when it launches.

If you have any suggestions or requests before the new site goes live I would appreciate it. There will be a number of new features and enhancements in the upcoming version. Feel free to email me at michael@leigeber.com or post a response here.

I’m glad I found the site. I’d love to see some posts about unique uses of some of the JavaScript libraries out there (particularly jQuery). I’m excited to see the new design and the process you took to reach it. Keep up the good work.

Design looks perfect. I love it. It would me more helpful if you write tutorials for the scripts that you have published here. Anyway good luck!
Shane :)

Very informative. Design is not defining. Go.

Compliments for the web, much beautiful ones. Thanks for your useful Javascript.

Thank you for your suggestions here. I have rolled out the first phase of the new design, some things are a little off and I didn’t fully implement some of the upgrades yet. I will be back to posting for awhile and will keep these suggestions in mind.

@karm – Shoot me an email and I will do what I can to help.

Michael on 12 May 2008 at 2:32 pm

i like the content that’s on the site, thanks. you could consider allowing users to create guest accounts and create articles if you’re ok with having a community-driven aspect. it would probably require some moderation though. just a thought.

Could you please guide me – as to how to learn javascript – what methodology to use – I do have a set of books with me – but getting heads on with javascript libraries like Extjs seems a little daunting right now….Would appreciate if you can point out how to learn from the basics and grow up to the level of expertise

techzen on 26 May 2008 at 7:00 am

Hi,
I am forunate enough to learn about this site from del.icio.us. I was building a image CMS where I can put in slideshow and management of images. And was looking for simple JS to give simple effects. Although I developed it before seeing this, but when I checked out the source code I learnt better way of writing JS and hope to come up with some nice stiff in the future and share it with you all.

I think you web design is good enough. In the world of blogs content is supreme. Users primarily want hard hitting content that will provide them the information they want most.

So, unless you really want to redesign the site, focus on content!

Parabens, os escripts são muito bons..
Parabens mesmo.

Really great site! I hope that you will continue.

Great post, I really enjoyed it. I will have to bookmark this site for later.

Soapstone on 20 Jun 2008 at 8:53 am

Love love love the content. Thanks Michael!
The only think I can think of which is essential is an easier RSS option (so bloglines etc can be incorporated). I entered my email to feedburner up top there so will get your email updates, but would be much nicer if it could be an RSS.
Cheers,
Gary

Gary on 04 Jul 2008 at 2:05 am

@Gary – I do have a self-hosted RSS feed at http://www.leigeber.com/rss. I will definitely be adding a link somewhere directly to it per your suggestion. Thank you.

I have been searching for best java scripting resource and I think today my search is over. Thanks

It’s funny. I’m a webdesigner (located in Austria, my native language is Austrian German) and the name of my business is trendz design. Therefore I googled the word trendz to check out how much it’s used on the internet (for whatever business there is). I didn’t care so long as it’s NOT a webdesigner. But hten I found this website via Google and was thinking “what the fuck?!” Oh no, a webdesigner is using the word “trendz” for his/her business (Ive already website, email,… registered – all for trendz design)!
However, when I actually visited your website I thought it is great You offer some very useful stuff here. The content gets a 10 out of 10. The design, well, not so much my style. Gets a 6 or 7 out of 10. So I’m waiting quite curious to see your new site going online. One thing which I’d like to point out is that I’m always getting a Javascript error message when reloading a page. Perhaps you can eliminate the errror.

Best regards

Faisal on 23 Dec 2008 at 4:34 am

Wow. I can’t believe that you received so much traffic in such a short period of time. Great work. I think that you have such a great response because you are posting the types of things that people are ALWAYS searching for. And you present them in an easy to use format. Great stuff.

Shirley on 01 Jan 2009 at 7:36 am

best i like it

humble on 15 Jan 2009 at 6:04 am

very informative

murali on 17 Jan 2009 at 3:52 am

Nice site! Given the traffic, I would venture to say that you DEFINITELY need to add support forums for your scripts. By “support”, I don’t mean that you have to go there and answer everything. I mean that you should provide a place for users to share their experiences with your scripts and help each other troubleshoot. Sifting through ~150 comments is very difficult; browsing some topics on a forum or using the search command is very easy.

Again, very nice site!

bob on 04 Feb 2009 at 11:49 am

It’s very very useful for me thank u very much. no words to say.

thinakaran on 07 Feb 2009 at 7:40 am

duuuude really great cool stuff here, I’m a php developer and finding webs like this really encourages me to share my humble experience. I’ll remember this site when anyone ask me for help ;)

Honestly, you are wonderful and so gifted! I really need to know you to book some training with you. I have been trained but have never seen this great work by you before.

Cool site -
Your work here really allows me to make interesting and useful modules for my enterprise system. Keep up the great work!

Tom_Bishop on 05 Mar 2009 at 5:54 pm

Great site! Excellent work!
I would like to see a rss reader in javascript, to publish the rss content on a website, if possible with the option to show images/movies or not.
cheers //Paka

This is incredible. The submissions are nothing short of extraordinary. I have not seen this approach to web development, or programming for that matter in college!

I’m searching for something of my own creation that I feel could be worthy of being posted. An excellent demonstration of creativity and skill.

Outstanding!

Many thanks, Steve R of Texas

Nice scripts, great work.
I was looking for a lightweight tabbed pages and a folder tree script, maybe you could create and add them to your archive, it would be great.
Thanks for sharing

Man you did really well , amazing ….

Osmam on 14 Jun 2009 at 5:48 am

Hey dude, I'm always looking back on your stuff. Some of the best scripts on the web and I've seen alot of 'em – alot!

That said, I was looking back at your gallery entry today — http://www.leigeber.com/2008/05/ajax-image-gallery-slideshow/ — given I'm always testing to see if scripts "degrade nicely" I threw the NOSCRIPT icon on (firefox 3) to see what happens with javascript disabled … the gallery thumbnails appeared, however, the flash like loading icon just kept circling and circling with no larger image ever appearing in that slot.

Some might say my test is a waste of time and if the reader has javascript off that's their problem… but… I at least attempt to make sure I use scripts that still at least layout a DEFAULT image in every spot.

Hopefully this makes sense. Again, thanks so much for the time and effort you put into these scripts — brilliant. I've been around a while and am just getting ready to learn jquery and I know I'll try to build that "javascript disabled" parachute into everything.

Keep me updated.
thanks
